VINCENT GÜHLOW
BARITON
Vincent Gühlow has been performing several roles on opera and festival stages, i.e.:
Betto/Marco (Puccini: Gianni Schicchi), Mittlerer Bruder/Hofmarschall (Cui: Der gestiefelte Kater), Papageno (Mozart: Die Zauberflöte), Zuniga (Bizet: Carmen),
Saul (Händel: Saul), Silvano (Verdi: Un ballo in maschera) at the Opera Metz (france) and opera Biel/Solothurn
Ottone (Monteverdi: L'incoronazione di Poppea), Podestà (Mozart: La finta giardiniera) at the Zürcher Festspiele and the Teufel (J. Hanke: Der Teufel mit den drei goldenen Haaren) opera Basel.
In 2018 he performed the role of Don Giovanni in Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
His repertoire also includes several parts of oratorios and a number of songs from classic to modern (e.g. G. Mahler: "Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen", A. Reimann:
"Ein Totentanz").
In 2007 Vincent Gühlow received the special award at the interdisciplinary competition of the HMT Rostock. He was also laureate of the international singing contest of the chamber opera Rheinsberg 2013 and received a scholarship from the DOMS-Stiftung, Basel.
2013 - 2015 he was a member of the International Swiss Opera Studio.
Masterclasses by Prof. Konrad Jarnot, Grace Bumbry, Prof. Charlotte Lehmann and at the Deutsche Liedakademie as well as being able to work with Markus Hollop, Teruhiko Komori, Axel Bauni, Anne le Bozec, Alexander Schmalcz and Peter Berne within the subject of Belcanto enriched his training immensely.
Currently he is working with Mr. Pietro Spagnoli (Baritone) and Alessandro Corbelli.
